Overview

TheLococo and Creative Wick, partners in The Wick newspaper and thisisthewick.com, have secured the support of two key local stakeholders as topic pillar sponsors into 2022.

In partnership with London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) The Wick will now collate and publish LLDC’s former freesheet magazine Park News on a dedicated page within its quarterly print publication.

Park News has been the official guide to events, news and initiatives taking place within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It was distributed to residents and businesses in the four boroughs that the park intersects. From the December 2021 edition, The Wick will increase pagination (from 16 pages up to 20) and distribution (from 7k copies to 15k) to enable wider distribution to new locations including East Village and the Royal Docks.

In a second partnership announcement, the Arts & Culture content pillar of The Wick will be sponsored by Hackney Wick & Fish Island Creative Enterprise Zone (HWFI CEZ). The body works to promote the neighbourhood as a major creative cluster in London, and is backed by the Mayor of London, LB Tower Hamlets and LB Hackney. The partnership will allow The Wick reporters and multi-media freelancers the chance to tell success stories of existing local creatives, while promoting the resilience and growth of the creative economy in Hackney Wick and Fish Island.

More announcements on pillar sponsors for 2022 will follow.
