Event & Partnerships Manager

The Local Content Company Ltd (The Loco) is looking for an ambitious and talented Event and Partnership Manager to join the team at an exciting time in the growth of the company.

The idea candidate will play a key role in helping us deliver a series of event activations for our sponsors and partners, across the portfolio of publications including Camdenist, The Wick and Hey Girl.

You will work closely with the Creative Director on all our events to ensure the content and style successfully engages audiences and delivers value for our partners.

Your role will also include supporting the management team on business development projects including presentations, workshops and planning.

This is an opportunity for someone keen to join a small and passionate hybrid team, working across a range of exciting projects and focused on ensuring The Loco’s ethos of community, culture and collaboration is extended through all existing and new partnerships.

Initial 6 month contract, up to 4 days per week, £25k-£30k pro rata based on experience

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage The Loco’s relationships and engagement with a portfolio of corporate, NGO and SMB partners
  • Assist in delivering a calendar of events including pop-ups, brand activations and culture-based campaigns
  • Implement strong account management practices that support continued growth of key relationships, ensuring all our partners feel looked after
  • Develop stronger working internal relationships and practices with JV partners including Creative Wick and Hey Girl Ltd.
  • Create high quality reports, proposals and presentations
  • Assist with research and data gathering for expanded print distribution, new event concepts, partner workshops and expansion of our digital directory platform
  • Support the success of the team with other duties as required

Sales & Commercial Relationships Executive

The Local Content Company Ltd (The Loco) is looking for an ambitious and talented individual to drive increased revenues from our digital and print portfolio.

The idea candidate will have experience in converting business and community relationships into revenues, with a strong sense of the value that 

You will work closely with the team on an exciting new digital directory rollout, plus have the opportunity to earn commissions from display sales and other commercial wins.

This is an opportunity for someone keen to join a small and passionate hybrid team, working across a range of exciting projects and focused on ensuring The Loco’s ethos of community, culture and collaboration is delivered in all commercial deals. 

Initial 6 month contract, 2-3 days per week, pay based on experience. Attractive commission structure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a 6-month pilot for The Wick’s digital directory to reach 50 paid ‘premium’ listings subscribers
  • Implement a CRM that works across the digital platform and the print magazine
  • Create high quality weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Assist with data gathering and input for for the growth of the directory
  • Join in the co-design workshops for the tech build
  • Develop innovative sales practices around the planned rewards element of the platform, and the expansion of the concept beyond The Wick neighbourhoods
  • Support the success of the team with other duties as required
